Due to the short wavelength, very small laser spot diameters can be achieved, which allows for exceptional precision and the engraving of very fine details. The special feature of the UV laser is that it processes the material through so-called photonic ablation, which means that the substance is removed without significant heating. That is why we call it "cold processing," which reduces the risk of thermal damage, cracks, or unwanted color changes on the material. These machines are especially suitable for marking sensitive materials that are often impossible to process with other laser technologies. These include various plastics, silicone, glass, ceramics, paper, cardboard, as well as metals.
